CONSIDER THIS: Lent & Spiritual Discipline

Shannon Priddy

Lent: a time to focus on our spiritual lives and reflection on our relationship with God...

by Shannon Priddy, UWF Exec & Past President

I like Lent. I like the quiet, spiritual practices I have been able to participate in over the years. . . Lent gives me a spiritual discipline that I may not practice the rest of the year. I know it is a short time and I expect more of myself. . . This year, I urge you to be open to a mixture of old and new practices. Take the time to reflect on . . . Click to read the whole devotion

2023 NTC UWF MISSION PROJECTS

This year NTC UWF has prayerfully decided to embrace two mission projects. How will you and your local group help this year? More info here.

Good Neighbor Settlement House

The Good Neighbor Settlement House

. . . in Brownsville, TX serves both homeless families and 300-500 migrants a day. Migrant families are served a hot meal, given a folder with legal advice, and presented with a tote bag filled with daily necessities. Last year the Good Neighbor Settlement House served 102,000 migrants. This year we are encouraging UWF across the conference to collect items to support their ministry on the border.

Missing Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls

Missing, Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG)

NTC UWF will be partnering with the Dallas MMIWG organization and indigenous advocate, Jodi Voice Yellowfish, to help reduce the abuse and suffering of indigenous women. Our monetary gifts will be used to bring justice to the victims and end this brutality.
